You saw something you want, it has a pricy tag on it. You can afford it, but you are afraid of losing that money. There are alot of people with this issue. I know you can argue that the money is saved for important purposes in the event of an emergency. But sometimes, you just have to spend. Instead of hoarding onto money that guarantees financial security, why not spend it on something you want? (not to the extent of..) You get satisfaction.
However, instead of spending it on yourself, why not spend it on others? It's a totally different feeling you get.

The issue with money
You visited a nearby store and found a TV on sale at 500 dollar. Yes, it's original price cost 700. However, you saw another TV that's priced at 500 dollar as well.

Do you decide how you spend your money?
Suppose you want to buy a TV? Would you pick the one that's on sale or the usual?
Yeah, it's cheap that's why i would pick the one on sale. People just don't realise that 500 is still 500. That's not a small amount of money.

Just bill it to my card...
The same issue arises with other problems. Ask anyone if they be willing to give money to the poor instead of spending it on gadgets. Money is still money. The 1 dollar you spend is still 1 dollar in value.
